I’m not looking to get into any kind of debate over what constitutes alt lit or anything along those lines, I just want to see if there is anything going on in the UK in terms of there being any kind of community built around this kind of stuff, as well as writers doing similar things to what’s going on in New Jersey and elsewhere in the US.
there is tons of great writers in the UK that i would suggest conecting with.. there was a reading series in brighton called “any persan halp me,” thru vicki tingle and laurens verdonkschot, that seemed really great. not sure if thats still going on? i know so many writers in london, but i’m not sure how much they hang out with each other, some of my faves would be @aurist, crispin best, thom james, and ben brooks. joe vaughan and hannah o’brien from the DANKLAND post both live in sheffield, along with the dead beats lit blog. have u seen my whale and sadcore dadwave are both out of the UK but seem more internet based than IRL. anyone from the UK able to add to this? i know a lot more individuals in the UK but can’t think of other clusters of writers right now
